The Women’s Foundation is a Kansas City-based organization that seeks to advance economic and civic leadership for women. They put on an annual event with a special guest speaker to help advance their cause and raise money. I directed and designed their 2019 annual event, producing digital ads, social media posts, print ads, billboards, emails, on-site banners, signage, an event program, and more. The theme was “Changemakers” and the special guest speaker was Cindy McCain.
Radio Ads
Advertising for the event included news hits on Fox 4, KCTV, WDAF, and the Kansas City Star.
Billboard

Webpage, Email & Social Posts
Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts sent a dedicated email blast delivered to 99,550 with a 23.79% open rate, and a shared email blast delivered to 100,319 with a 26.89% open rate.

On-Site Banners, Sign, & Table Tent
The beautiful architecture of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts presented some ideal space on each balcony for on-site banners.

I created a large sign, displayed at the entrance, to help welcome and direct the attendants of this event. In the atrium/lobby, there is a seating area for drinks and mingling, and the tables provided ideal space for table tents. These table tents were full of information about the goals of the Women’s Foundation as well as directions about how to make a donation to this organization.

Ticket, Inserts, & Invitations
Beyond advertising and on-site signage, I designed the ticket, an exclusive happy hour invitation, a reception invitation, and a leaflet with parking information. Even though each of these pieces had a different purpose and a slightly different message, the consistency in the branding and visuals makes it clear they relate to the same brand and event.

Event Program
All event attendees received this 24-page program which includes a schedule, information about the Women’s Foundation and affiliated programs, sponsors, donation information, and advertising. The goal of my design was to create a layout that brings both the event’s graphics and the Women’s Foundation branding through every page, while keeping the message clear, clean, and easy-to-read.
