While working for Fashion Forms, we were introducing a new product that we wanted to feature for the next season, The No-Slip Strapless Bra. It featured adhesive cups that worked with the band and the bra’s construction to stay in place better than other strapless bras. I wanted to come up with a concept that would put the product through its paces, to highlight its incredible staying power, yet maintain the classic elegance of the Fashion Forms brand, and I landed on aerial acrobatics.
The photographs we got back from the shoot were beautiful, and featured the product perfectly. The backgrounds all had ugly rock climbing hand holds and needed smoothing and evening. Even with a beautiful model who pulled the acrobatics off wonderfully, the photos needed a significant amount of retouching before they could be featured in ads or packaging. All retouching was done in Adobe Photoshop.
Interesting Challenge
One problem we encountered after the shoot was a restriction on showing belly buttons. In previous instances, our solution was to place the graphic design ribbon element across the midriff, but due to the body positioning that highlighted this product, that wouldn’t be possible. I came up with a creative solution in post-production, raising the waistband by sampling and creating in Photoshop to change the garment into a high-waisted style.

After the photo was retouched, it was ready to be featured on our packaging, in print and digital advertising, and we featured it on our website in slider images.
