In 2019, the American Royal needed digital ads to recruit competitor teams for their annual World Series of Barbecue® fundraiser competition. A writer and art director from my creative team came up with a Facebook carousel of images, and I suggested that I could turn that into a themed video with motion graphic text.
I used Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro to put this video together, after color correcting images in Adobe Photoshop, and laying out some text in Adobe Illustrator. I created a moving grit pattern to give the video more of a cohesive western and gritty vibe. I then used After Effects to emphasize certain parts of the type with animation, and together with my team, chose exciting themed music to match the video.
